SEED Club Orientation Session Held at St. Monica
On 19th June 2025, St. Monica English Medium School conducted an inspiring orientation session on the Mathrubhumi SEED Club, an initiative aimed at instilling environmental consciousness and responsibility among young learners.
The session began with a warm welcome extended to our esteemed guests. Our beloved Manager, Rev. Fr. Melwyn D’Souza, was present to bless the occasion with his support and encouragement. Mrs. Sreeja, the Kasaragod District Coordinator of the SEED Club from Mathrubhumi, was the chief guest and speaker of the day.
Teachers welcomed both dignitaries with flowers as a token of appreciation. The program began with a brief introduction about the SEED Club and its mission to encourage students to actively participate in protecting the environment through sustainable practices and innovative eco-projects.
In her address, Mrs. Sreeja enlightened the students about the vision, goals, and wide range of activities that the SEED Club offers — from tree planting and waste management to water conservation and awareness campaigns. She emphasized the role of students as young eco-warriors and urged them to take ownership of their surroundings and lead by example.
The orientation session was interactive and motivating, leaving students eager to take part in upcoming SEED Club activities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed sense of purpose to “rise to bloom and shine to lead” — not just academically, but also as responsible caretakers of our planet.
